The Research Initiative is founded by seasoned professionals with extensive experience in journalism, investigation, and government service. Our team comprises dedicated journalists, investigators, and former government officials from various parts of the world. Together, we bring a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to uncovering the truth and promoting public interest.

Pavel is an experienced investigative journalist with over five years of experience working in the family office of a UHNWI and freelancing as a reporter for leading international media outlets. A graduate of Paris Sciences Po, he brings a wealth of expertise in uncovering complex stories and navigating high-stakes environments. Fluent in English and French, and conversational in German, Pavel is dedicated to delivering in-depth, insightful journalism.

Recently graduated from Istanbul University, Aylin is a passionate and driven journalist based in Istanbul. With experience interning at leading international media outlets, she is particularly enthusiastic about investigative journalism and the pursuit of justice. Fluent in English and Chinese, she brings a global perspective to her work, aiming to uncover the truth and make a positive impact through her storytelling

Alex is a freelance journalist with over seven years of experience reporting from Central Asia and post-Soviet countries. A graduate of New York University in Prague, he is based in Uzbekistan and focuses on international affairs, high-level corruption, and environmental issues. Fluent in English and with basic knowledge of Russian and Ukrainian, Alex brings a nuanced understanding of the region’s complex dynamics to his investigative work.
